Beach Weddings are allowed
No special permit is required for a beach wedding and there is no charge. 

The parking lots are pay to park. 

By completing a reservation request for your ceremony, you are confirming the time you will be at the beach.  If the area you would like to use is taken, you may need to wait until that area becomes available. The beach is public. 

To avoid large beach crowds and parking issues, we recommend early to mid-morning and evening hours for ceremonies. 

If a set-up is required, please do so just ahead of the time of your wedding. A suggested 30 minutes before is acceptable.  Someone must stay in attendance with your set-up.  You may not block off an area and leave it unattended.  The city does NOT provide chairs. 

Please note Lake Michigan water levels are higher than normal this summer and there may be less beach available for use.
